Rebecca G is Moving On.

Ladies and gentleman, we are sad to announce that Rebecca G from our Deptford shop has left 12 oz. Studios.  However, we are very excited and thrilled for her as she begins her journey building on, studying, and perfecting her craft as a tattoo artist.  Though she only was with 12 oz. Studios for a little under 2 years she has been an incredible member of our team creating high quality tattoos and jumping in wherever necessary to help our Deptford shop run smoothly.  Rebecca, we will miss working alongside you.  Don’t be a stranger!

Alex Feliciano Featured at CITICIEN Art Exhibition March 2nd – March 5th.

We are extremely proud to announce that our founder Alex Feliciano will be a part of CITICIEN: 100 Puerto Rican Artists, 100 Years of the Jones-Shafroth Act art exhibition this weekend in New York City.  Signed in 1917 by President Wilson, The Jones-Shafroth Act granted U.S. citizenship to anyone born in Puerto Rico on or after April 25, 1898, becoming a complex and significant turning point for the people of Puerto Rico.  Following strict visual guidelines of size and a black-and-white only palette, the exhibit’s theme is one of visual consistency and commitment, acting as a metaphor of the unified voice and solidarity of Puerto Ricans during this critical political time.

The exhibit was created by Defend Puerto Rico, a multimedia project designed to document and celebrate Puerto Rican creativity, resilience, and resistance.  Defend PR seeks to deepen connections between Puerto Ricans on the island and throughout the diaspora, in the hopes of nurturing greater solidarity, collaboration, and kinship.

The CITICIEN opening reception is today, Thursday March 2nd, from 6pm to 10pm at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural and Educational Center in New York City.  If you are in the NYC area take some time to check out amazing work from 100 different artists.  The CITICIEN exhibit runs from March 2nd to March 5th.
