ATTENTION TATTOOERS! We are looking for hard working and motivated artists that want to grow with us. Our shops have been busy and we’ve had to turn away work in our pursuit of the best candidates. If you are looking for a fun and busy shop that places an emphasis on quality tattooing and art above all else send your resume, portfolio, and social media links to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please share this or tag a hard working, experienced tattoo artist!
As in past years, our annual Center for Family Services gift donation was a huge success. Our amazing clients (like always) came through when we needed them the most and donated much-needed gifts to those less fortunate families in our area. Everything donated ensured that those families had a very, merry Christmas this year.
We say it all the time, but we truly have the best clients anyone could ask for. You all step up and deliver every single time when we ask and for that we are eternally grateful.
Also, congratulations to our winners of our $50 and $100 gift certificate raffle: Lauren Brown, Jessica Pineiro, Becky Huskins, and Shayna Mele.
Merry Christmas and happy holidays from all of us at 12 oz. Studios!
We can’t begin to thank everyone enough who donated various items to help the citizens of Puerto Rico recover from Hurricane Maria. Our own Alex Feliciano and Jose Bolorin where particularly moved, both being of Puerto Rican descent and frequent visitors to the island where their friends and family still reside. Because of you we where able to donate a whopping 5, packed to the brim, car loads to the Puerto Rican Civic Association located in Hammonton, NJ. From there all of the goods donated will be loaded onto a trailer and sent to the island. These donations will make a meaningful impact in the day to day life of those working to rebuild their homes and ultimately their and their community’s lives.
It’s going to be a long road to recovery so we’ll be watching as to where 12 oz. Studios can help next (stay tuned). We can’t say this enough: we have the best clients anyone could ask for. You always deliver whenever need be and for that we are eternally grateful. And, a special thank you to the folks at the Puerto Rican Civic Association in Hammonton, NJ for organizing this entire event and coordinating efforts with the island.
Two years ago I said goodbye to a shop I spent like 13 years in. 2 and 1/2 working for someone, then acquiring it and beginning 12 oz Studios. I spent 10 years in this building as 12 oz studios. Building a name for myself and creating a brand that can be trusted. It is surreal to know this is where I really grew up. In a tattoo shop. So many memories. So many struggles. From temporarily living in the shop, in order to make my dreams happen. To making the best friends a person can have. This is the day I removed our logo from the building I was renting. To installing it into the building that we own. Sometime the universe knows what it’s doing. This week I also celebrate my 20th year tattooing, the 2nd year in our new building and last January the 12th year of 12 oz studios. We will celebrate, stay tuned. Thank you past and my present artist. You are the sh!£!!!!!!! You, our customers, you are our reasons why we get to do what we do. We ❤️❤️❤️❤️you!!!!
The 2016 Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention was incredible! We had a record 4 booths this year with eight out of ten 12 oz. tattooers working all weekend long and showing off the best tattoos that South Jersey has to offer. In attendance were our very own Bobby Trefz, Rebecca La Norma, Meghan Patrick, Alex Feliciano, Tami Rose, Chris Curtis, Kevin Soto, and Jose Bolorin. Not only were these talented folks tattooing their asses off, they also created and brought beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces of art to exhibit and sell. Alex even made a 12 oz. Studios “Crown and Arrows” lighted podium, which had an almost bat-signal quality that drew in convention goers to our booth. The crew made friends with artists from across the globe and hopes to exchange guest spots with one another in the future. Check out the photos below!
In January 2005, we opened our doors for the first time. 12 oz started out with one studio, located in Brooklawn, NJ and only two employees – artistic geniuses Alex Feliciano and Meghan Patrick. In addition to tending to their customers on a daily basis, they also dedicated themselves to growing the business and branching out the 12 oz name. And here, 11 years later, we have grown into 2 locations in Brooklawn and Deptford, with 10 amazing artists and piercer, and even our own clothing line!
Today the fine folks at NJ.com announced the winner of New Jersey’s Best Tattoo Shop contest and unfortunately, it was not 12 oz. Studios. Sure we’re a little bummed, but we can’t begin to thank all of YOU for your love, support and encouragement throughout this entire contest and beyond! We truly love all of our clients! You make tattooing and piercing way more fun and exciting than it already is! It was a thrill to be a part of the top 5 and we are so grateful for your hard work in getting out the vote to everyone. Congratulations to Rorschach Gallery in Edison, NJ for grabbing the number 1 spot! We hope NJ.com holds another contest next year so we can go for the gold once again!
Check it out! Our feature on our Brooklawn shop is up on NJ.com! Click here, give it a look and share it with your friends! Once again, thank you all so much for your love and support and helping us make it to the TOP 5! We wouldn’t have made it without YOU! We had a fun time hanging out with Bobby Olivier, even though he doesn’t like our exposed wall that we receive nothing but compliments on! ; ) Thank’s again everyone! Now, onward to NUMBER 1!!!
IT’S FINALLY HERE!!! The moment we’ve all been waiting for. Sunday, May 17th, we moved into our new Brooklawn shop (300 Crescent Blvd)!!! The 12 oz. crew along with some of our amazing customers busted our butts and moved the entire shop in a few hours! So, a HUGE thank you to everyone who answered the call when we needed it most! Now begins the task of setting everything up and getting everything in working order. The new Brooklawn shop will be closed Monday, May 18th, but starting Tuesday, May 19th, we will be open for business during normal operating hours. If you are still looking to get tattooed on the 18th, you are in luck! Our Deptford shop will be open from 2 – 9 pm. Thanks again to everyone who helped us move and helped us permanently plant our roots in the great borough of Brooklawn, NJ! Check back with us soon as we will share some photos of the new shop!
